The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring organizational adherence to regulatory, contractual, and internal process standards while managing and executing compliance-related projects. The role combines regulatory compliance expertise with project management skills to implement effective compliance frameworks, audits, and risk mitigation strategies across departments.
This role requires a proactive professional who can translate complex compliance requirements into practical processes, lead cross-functional projects, and monitor implementation with a focus on governance, timelines, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management
· Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry standards and local laws.
· Conduct periodic internal audits to assess adherence to internal controls and external regulations.
· Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and implement corrective action plans.
· Maintain and update compliance documentation, including risk registers, policy manuals, and audit logs.
· Liaise with internal and external auditors, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
· Ensure compliance with data privacy, IT security, HR, and labor laws, depending on the business domain.
Project Management
· Lead and manage compliance-related projects end-to-end — from planning, scoping, and scheduling to delivery and review.
· Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT, Operations, Legal) to ensure successful project execution.
· Track progress using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project) and report project status to senior management.
· Ensure projects meet quality, compliance, and documentation standards.
· Drive automation and digitalization of compliance tracking processes where possible.
Risk Management & Reporting
· Maintain an enterprise-level compliance risk dashboard.
· Report compliance breaches and risk incidents to management promptly.
· Develop metrics and dashboards for ongoing compliance performance.
· Support business continuity and regulatory reporting projects.
Training & Communication
· Conduct periodic compliance awareness sessions for employees.
· Communicate changes in regulations and internal policies across departments.
· Build a culture of transparency, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Required Skills & Competencies
Regulatory & Compliance: Knowledge of IT/HR compliance frameworks, vendor audits.
Project Management: Proficient in project planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder communication.
Analytical & Reporting: Strong ability to analyze compliance data, audit results, and create dashboards.
Technical Tools: MS Office, Excel (Advanced), Project tools (Asana, Jira, or equivalent).
Soft Skills: Attention to detail, leadership, cross-functional coordination, presentation skills.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
· PMP / Prince2 certification or formal project management training preferred.
· Compliance certification (CAMS, CCEP, ISO Lead Auditor, etc.) is an added advantage.
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in compliance, governance, or risk management roles, with at least 3 years in project management.
